Due to their characteristics, especially resistance to dust, moisture, temperature or vibrations, there is a need to use peripherals with increased resistance. The key industrial peripherals are industrial monitors and displays, touchscreens, industrial keyboards and industrial positioning devices, or combined drawers with LCD display, keyboard and trackball or touchpad, KVM switches, magnetic card and chip readers and external power supplies. INDUSTRIAL LCD MONITORS
For environments with demanding operating conditions, where conventional commercial monitors do not have the necessary parameters, industrial monitors are used, which are suitable for deployment in heavy industry as well as in any light industry, food, pharmaceutical, chemical, medical, education, but also transport, etc. The main difference between industrial and commercial monitors is the high quality construction ensuring increased durability for long-term maintenance-free operation and possible easy reparability, but also the high variability of mounting and last but not least the possibility of touch control. The monitors are equipped with a VGA or DVI port or LVDS as standard, with additional interfaces such as DisplayPort or HDMI being added. Using a USB or RS-232 interface, the touch screen can be connected to a PC. Resistive technology is most commonly used for touchscreens, but capacitive, projection-capacitive, SAW or infrared touchscreens are also available.
EXTERNAL POWER SUPPLY
For powering industrial PCs, industrial monitors or other industrial peripherals, external power adapters are used in the classic version, as commercial adapters from 230 VAC or DIN rail, panel or converters from DC power supplies for embedded applications, or power adapter for vehicles. Another group consists of power supplies with battery backup UPS.
